How to Buy from Sound Ideas

You can browse the site freely, listen to the demos and download the track listing without having an account or signing in.

If you add a product to your Wish List, you will be asked to create an account (or sign in if you already have an account).

You can add products to your cart without signing in – but to complete the purchase process you will be asked to create an account (or sign in if you already have an account).

Sign In using the icon at the top right of the screen.

You can browse through our product categories or you can use our site search feature to find the content or the specific products you want to investigate.

On each product page you will find:

  • Description of the product
  • An audio or video demo (sometimes both)
  • Pricing information
  • A drop down menu to identify what product formats are available
  • An Add to Cart icon
  • An Add to Wish List icon
  • Basic Product Specifications
  • View & Export track list options

Use the drop down menu to select the product format you want to buy, then click the Add to Cart icon.

A cart preview will open briefly to confirm that you have successfully added the product to your cart. Once you add products to your Cart, the number of products in your cart will be shown below the My Cart icon.

Click on the My Cart icon at the top of the screen to view your cart at any time.  Click on the Clear Cart button to remove all items from the cart – use the trash can icons on each of the product listing lines to remove just one item from your cart.

Click on the Check Out button to start the payment process or to access your cart to make changes in quantities or remove items.  You can Continue Shopping, Recalculate the Price (if you have made any changes to your cart), or Complete Checkout.

If you are not signed in, you will now be prompted to either sign in or create an account. 

Your billing and shipping address will display for you to add, change or confirm.

For physical products that are being shipped to you, you can select Normal Shipping or Express Shipping.  Shipping charges do not apply to download products.  North American taxes (if they apply) will be calculated and added to your Cart as necessary.

You can pay online by Credit Card or by PayPal.  Either option will take you to the secure PayPal payment system.  Once you have completed the payment, you will be returned to the Sound Ideas thank you for your order screen.

If you have ordered and paid for downloadable items, you can then proceed to your My Download area, (located at the top right of your browser) immediately if you are logged in (or after you have logged in) to complete your product downloads.

If you have ordered and paid for physical products that will be shipped to you, you will receive email confirmation from one of our production consultants to confirm the shipment.  For physical shipments, we attempt to ship your order on the day that it is received here in our office. Please note that shipment of orders received after 3:00 p.m. local time, during weekends or Canadian statutory holidays may be delayed.

Customs Duties & Taxes

Our invoice to you does not include the value of any local Customs import duties or taxes. All import taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the purchaser, and must be paid to the appropriate authorities before product can be delivered.

Order Changes & Cancellations

We accept all requests for order changes and cancellations - until your product has been shipped or downloaded. Simply contact us and we will do our best to assist you.

Damaged Goods & Returns

We package all goods very carefully for both local and international shipping, but sometimes things get damaged in transit. Our quality control checks are rigorous, but occasionally a manufacturer's defect escapes our eagle eye inspectors.  If you receive a damaged product from Sound Ideas, please contact us immediately to arrange for its prompt return and replacement.
